Reference: UXLAW The theme you have chosen is a great one. But you have not mentioned your existing site URL. I shall need admin login details for wordpress as well as server backend to complete the job. Procedure for theme conversion: ----------------------------------------- 1. Two new directories will be created in your server. One for backup purpose (backup folder) & another for deployment purpose (deployment folder). 2. Two backup copies of your existing site along with the database used will be created. One for safe backup in case any unforeseen disaster occurs during conversion & second copy for deployment. 3. Deployment copy will be installed in deployment folder and new theme will be installed over it. 4. All the changes / modifications required, will be applied to the copy in deployment folder. During this period, your existing site will continue functioning as usual. 5. On completion of the previous stage (Stage 4), I shall implement a maintenance page which will contain a timer of 2 hours and an apology note about the service interruption. It will also have your company logo on it. 6. Within this 2 hours time period, finished site will be transferred from deployment folder to main directory replacing the old content. Though for outer world visitor, the maintenance page will be available, but for us - we can see the actual website working live. 7. At the end of Stage 6, the maintenance page will be withdrawn and website will be available for general visitors.
