We need a one-page GUI developed for a Windows machine that is can send and receive 8 parameters (floating point/integer) to and from an Arduino UNO board through the serial USB port and display them. The layout of the GUI is complete and there is no preference as to the language that may be used to implement the GUI as long as it looks relatively similar to what we provide in the layout. It could be Tcl/Tk or C++ or other as long as it works on a Windows machine. There is also a requirement for a graph that can be adjusted by four (4) slide bars to be implemented on the GUI based on the parameters inputted. There are no interface pins available on Arduino as these have all been allocated for other functionality. Requirements: 1) Must be able to lose connection and automatically reconnect (USB cable connect/disconnect) a. Stability of both Arduino and GUI on Windows is a must b. Parameters last set on the Arduino take priority c. “Real time” monitor of at least one parameter as minimum 2) Our Arduino C code will be provided and may be modified to include the communication functions as necessary with the GUI. We will sandbox some of the functionality for you. a. Communication functions on Arduino must not create excessive overhead 3) Main critical functions of our code cannot be placed in “wait” or interrupted for more than 500us. 4) RTOS or equivalent interrupt driven code may be necessary. See sample video with regards to the user functionality we are looking for. It is rudimentary, however, we would like for it to be a lot more friendly to look at and use. We have a 2-week timeline to have this completed

Hello, I can do this work. In 24 hours I can give prototype of communication and changing all this variables. Total 1 week for all: communication, graphic and stable reconnect. Other time - maybe some clarification, small changes if you need, and bugfix. So $500 it's enough for all. (I can't bid $500, because you set $750 is minimum) Arduino code will be small and efficient. I'm going use hardware interrupts to receive data. I hope pin 1 and 2 are free to use? (for communication with PC). My previous project on freelancer.com is communication between arduino and raspberry pi. So it's no so different. Thanks.

Hello. Im designing different electronics devices, mostly based on avr, arm MCUs and boards with them like arduino, stm-discovery etc. I can help you with your deal and since im new one here I can do it cheaper then anybody. (autopromotion^)) Obviuosly it will be written in c#. Some protocol to communicate will be implemented, but I have to know what your code does. No delays or interrupts of some critical code are needed - arduino will recieve data using hardware uart, drop it to buffer in recieve interrupts and process in main code. Reconnection with com port is not good, but possible. Availibility of uart is needed to connect your arduino through usb. So device on it should share uart. What is on your serial?

Dear Sir I am a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years of work as a programmer. I also work with Arduino since 2008. I am interested in your project and I would like to take part in it. Among your requirements mentioned " Must be able to lose connection and automatically reconnect". New versions of Arduino has a feature that resets the device when it's reconnected to PC-programms via usb port. Is this OK for your device? (Communication will restored succesfully after disconnecting, but reset will occured). It is important to know that to select the software to implement desktop parts. This behaviour is avoidable, but this apply some limitation to choise an appropriate software for PC-part. With best regards Maxim

Hello, I'm an experienced desktop and serial developer working in the manufacturing industry. I've worked extensively with real-time serial protocols for machine control and have worked with Arduino in a production setting albeit in a different capacity than this project. I can develop this GUI in C++ and deliver it in the needed two week timeframe. I have an Arduino here on my workbench that I can use for initial testing, but ultimately I'd need to work with you for final testing with your hardware. Hell sir , I built many arduino interfacing projects , with real time monitoring I will provide you a stable code that process data in real time with hard time limit that ounces data arrives it should display it . I will use .NET program for this task , I can provide you with a previous sample of a task I did before to monitor a blast furnace factory . Dear Sir, I have experience in programming Delphi/Lazarus/C# with serial protocols mostly IEC 870-5-103(handling lost serial port, replys, timeouts,...). I can provide program on Windows which will communicate with your Arduino (I need specification of protocol) and I can provide requested GUI.
