Animated product overview video

Product overview video brief Requirements: produce an animated video, approximately 2 minutes in duration based on script and voice over provided. Although the script will be pre-recorded, you may need to reduce or extend pauses in the voiceover to suit the flow of the animation. You will also be required to add appropriate music/sound effects (for example, the sound of a mouse clicking) to suit the animation (only the voiceover will be provided). Concept ideas for the illustrations/animation will be provided, but you have creative license to deviate from the concepts and introduce your own ideas, as long as it fits with the intention of the script. Purpose of video: to produce a software demonstration video that conveys intricate workflow processes through easy-to-understand visual images. Some of the video should show people benefitting from using the product, as opposed to a series of screenshots showing how to use the tool. This is an information video; so we’re looking for the best visuals to help us give an overview of our application. We’re not looking for the most creative or stimulating video; just one that is easy to follow, yet compelling enough to make people want to try the system. Target audience: anyone in the construction industry. Style and branding considerations: informal, like-minded, friendly but professional. Process: Stage 1: create a rough, hand-drawn sketch of the storyboard. The storyboard can be emailed as a scanned document for review. Although it’s just putting ideas to paper as to how you would present the concepts, it should be scaled to size to ensure we know what facets of the script you are emphasizing/detailing in the proposed visuals. We will review the storyboard and respond with feedback within 36 hours of receiving. Stage 2: Based on the feedback, and confirmation of the storyboard, please provide examples of the tone, colours, style, ‘feel’ you will aim to achieve. This can be links to other videos, graphics, fonts and background music which provides an indication of the ‘impression’ our video will leave with viewers. This should be provided within 48 hours of receiving feedback related to the storyboard, and we will then respond within 48 hours with our feedback. Stage 3: Based on feedback regarding the proposed storyboard, and look/feel/tone, please produce the visuals and supply as a PDF, or images (whatever is more efficient for you). This work should be returned within 7 days. Feedback will provided within 2 working days. Stage 4: Edit images within 36 hours of receiving feedback. Feedback will provided within 2 working days. Stage 5: Provide video with music and sound effects within the next 3 days. We will continue to go back and forth communicating changes until the video is complete. Stage 6: Amending the video as per the suggestions provided.
