We are looking to build a new 'directory-style' website for a new business called - Suppliers Now.
I have attached a more detailed brief and business plan for further information, however below is a snap-shot of what we are looking to build.
Background
“Suppliers Now” (SN) is a “Directory-Style” website that is niched to the Club, Gaming, Casino & Hospitality Industries. It will be used for Suppliers to those industries to advertise their Products and Services under Category Listings.
Listings will be Tiered. Higher (more expensive) Tiers will give advertisers the opportunity to provide increased amounts of information (Logos, Pictures, Specials, Contact Details, Etc).
NOTE: We have an in-house Web Developer who has already built a (roughly) 75%-complete version of Suppliers Now, which is live at: www.suppliersnow.com.au. This was completed on WordPress. We are happy to discuss the viability of keeping what has already been done as a base with the successful Freelancer to fix up and complete what is there OR, we are also happy to consider starting again. (Please Note: Colour scheme and logo would remain, but layout; functionality; UI; etc could all be changed).
Overview
Advertisers (Suppliers) will be able to sign on, upload and update all of their information (self-managed) in a ‘Directory-style’ Website whereby they will be charged and pay (e-commerce) via the website for whichever level they choose. Advertisers will also be able to trigger a set number of “Specials” each year with the ability to purchase additional “Specials Adverts” when required – all of which will be emailed to the “Customer” database (Customers in this case are the people that visit the site and subscribe to the site as opposed to the customers of Suppliers Now [who are the Advertisers]).
Customers (Clubs, Pubs, Hotels, Casinos, Etc) will be able to conduct customisable searches of the directory to seek out products and services that they require. They will have the opportunity to sign-up to receive special deals and to be a part of the SN Email Community (MailChimp) for Super Specials and promotional offerings. Search functionality will need to be by category/product/service, state/postcode and various other criteria to be discussed with the developer (Developer’s input required and encouraged).
There will also need to be a dynamic blog section of the website whereby SN Employees blog regularly. Suppliers will also be provided with an opportunity to write guest-blogs which would be facilitated by SN Employees (ie. Suppliers [Advertisers] would NOT be required to access the blog, they would write it and email it to SN Employees who would post it).
