Design 5 page Wordpress site / Logo / Business Cards

Design brief Background - A group of independent IT and management consultants have banded together to start a project management and delivery consulting company called Solum Group. This will be a services based company. The approach and tone of the company and its approach should be evident from the attached website copy. The descriptive words we intend to associate with Solum group are collaborative, collegiate, purposeful, generous, and enthusiastic. What is required of our designer We have registered [login to view URL] as our website URL. We now need to have a web design created to match the attached copy / pages & original photography which has been commissioned and we will be shot on January 30, with electronic files available next day. Specifically we need: • Website design around attached copy and photography when it arrives Jan 31 • Design graphic of Solum Group • 3/2/1 Logo (see below) • Business card design • CMS Website design We have engaged a photographer ([login to view URL]) with whom we have worked previously on two websites where you can see their work - [login to view URL] and www.oilfieldhub.com. See some of the group shots? That’s the style we are looking for, but a little ‘warmer’. The photography will be shots of the principals and others in warm settings. Think group head and should shots in café, restaurant, and boardroom; also, more active shots in various downtown settings. The intent behind using photography is to anchor the site with warm, approachable and attractive images of the actual founders of the company. We’ll also take some individual head shots of these individuals for the Contacts page (see below). The mission for our web designers, should they choose to accept it, is to provide a design, based on the attached ‘starter’ copy, into which the original photography can be incorporated. These too will need to be in harmony. We envisage one photo per web page, of which there are 5 to start if you include the Home Page. On the contacts page we want to include individual photos of the four initial partners along with a brief intro paragraph to them (50 words or thereabouts). In the attached, the amount of copy in the descriptor for Jeannine Adams is what the designers should expect for each individual. We are hoping to come up with an overall effect that is warm and inviting yet modern. Think beautiful oak table with funky stainless steel legs. With regard to a business card design, we have an idea for a logo which is very simple. Think classic human triangle as in an acrobatic group; three figures on the base, two above them, one at the apex. A pyramid formed by six human figures, 3/2/1. The idea behind this figure is to express Solum’s mission of helping get projects off to a good start by laying a strong technical and business foundation. In making this suggestion we recognize we are not the designers and we are open to any other way of expressing our mantra- we help projects be successful by laying great foundations. Other than the logo and our name which also has to be designed, the business cards will be standard but we would like to have them die cut to have them be more oval than square.
