1. What will you be selling?
2. Will every product have child products, like variations by size, and then additional variations by say color?
3. Is the site meant for the high end of the market, mid or low end? That will determine what kind of design we go for. No point in designing a rich high end site if the strength is actually lower price.
4. Would you prefer a standard web design or responsive? Responsive adjusts to small screen sizes for smart phones, tablets and of course the computer. Responsive design takes more time.
5. Do you plan to use a pre-made theme and then let us customize it or would you prefer that we design it from scratch?
6. Are the items going to be stocked locally in your warehouse or drop shipped? If drop shipped then we have to cater to linking to the drop shippers system, getting back tracking numbers and updating our records.
7. Are your distributors/wholesalers going to provide you data feeds in CSV or XML? If not, do you plan to do manual data entry for all products?
8. Would returns be handled manually or would you like the system to handle it without manual intervention?
9. Any other function that you would like to see?
10. What is your time frame? Do you want to get started this week?
