Design a modern corporate logo for communications company

I wish to update my company logo and give a more corporate look, it's a telecommunications company. I've attached my existing logo for a reference. The new logo should also use a red design. The website is the next thing to be overhauled when I'm satisfied with the new logo. I'd be keen to use the company name within the logo TI Networks or even just the domain name www.ti.net.au. The main clients that use our services are large corporates and government bodies so I need to make the logo more professional yet still retain some colour and life to reflect my own personality. I believe that the previous purple logo used was a bit immature. I would expect to be provided with a choice of logo ideas perhaps between 10 and 20 and then settle with one with perhaps a few changes or modifications and tailor it to suit my requirements. I will take full ownership of the design upon completion and payment.
