Design a logo for a new business

Need to get a logo designed for a brand new business. The business will be involved with public relations and marketing and primarily involved in social media management for individuals. The logo needs to have a modern, contemporary feel about it, easily recognisable and with or without the name of the business included. Abstract is fine. As it is to promote a new business and one that involves digital media and social media, concepts that relate to those areas of marketing could be used in the design. When selected I would expect a number of different designs to be submitted and then one or two chosen for refinement before a decision is made. Someone that is experienced in designing logos for businesses, preferably in the corporate sphere. Im also open to University graduates or those that are currently studying design as new ideas and fresh outlooks on the design is what is needed. The logo needs to be put together in the next week or so, so availability right now would be ideal. How to Apply To apply I would like to see credentials e.g. Skills, experience, qualifications (If you have any), types of programs you would use for the design, type of file formats and outputs you would produce for me and a portfolio of previous work. Any early thoughts on designs just base on what I have written here would be seen as advantageous but not essential. About the Company This is a start up company and as such doesn't have a lot of information here. The aim is to be up and running on a full time basis by the end of August. Industry is the marketing and public relations industry in Australia and it is highly competitive but plenty of room for a smaller boutique company to do some great work.
