We are a small French winery selling our wine in China. My family owns a vineyards in Bordeaux, France and has been producing wine since 1905 there. You can see more info there: [login to view URL] . My father takes care of the wine making process and managing the company in France. I moved to China in January and have recently started a wine import company. This company only sells my family wine. I now need a brochure / catalogue to give to my customers to present and explain our family wines.
Part of the brochure is about giving some information about the region where we are in France (a small village not very famous) and about my family. The other part is about describing the wines that I sell in China (5 different wines). I give some information about each wine, its story and details.
Our customers include point-of-sales, distributors such as wine stores, wine bars, wine websites, but also end consumers. Our model in China is to sell through direct relationship, either with stores or end-consumers. Consumers can order wine and I'll deliver it to them. So the brochure needs to cater to both types. The end consumer can be pretty diverse: it can be either Chinese people or expats, most likely 30 to 55 years old, with a good financial situation. For Chinese consumers, a big part of the market is about gift-giving. Preoccupations are authenticity, discovery of a world they do not know. Expats are concerned about authenticity and getting a good wine at a reasonable price (wine is very expensive in China). Price is a concern for resellers.
The brochure needs to look very professional and high quality as this reflects a lot on you as a company in China. It will be distributed both in digital and print format. The color code should reflect the wine industry, mostly red, gold, black, brown, grey, green. For the format, I would like A5 or A4 (or anything similar). The printing will be done by myself.
The key ideas that we want to convey through the brochure are:
- direct from the producer to the consumer (there are lots of fake wines in China and showing that there is no intermediary is key). The wine leaves from my dad's office in France and arrives in my office in China. It needs to be clear that a member of the family is in China and imports the wine.
- niche: our wine is located in Bordeaux, but in a very small appellation called Canon Fronsac. It is located in a very prestigious area, but the name Canon Fronsac is not famous yet. We want to develop both our winery and the reputation of this area, branding it as a tiny area with great wines, in Bordeaux, that very few people know, making you feel like you are special for knowing about it.
- quality / tradition : my family's winery makes wine in a traditional way. We don't follow fashion and use the same techniques that my great grand father used. This is very qualitative but not very modern. However, I do not want a super old-style brochure either.
The brochure will be in English language, but I need to have the possibility to translate it in Chinese, so I will need it in printable format and in a format that can be modified as well . I also have two different sets of prices (wholesales and retail) so I need two versions of the brochure, but that's just changing some data.
We have three different sales people in China and I would like my clients to get their contact details. I'm thinking the easiest way to do this is to have a business card holder but I am open to suggestions.
I have all the texts ready, as well as high quality pictures of the wine bottles, the vineyards, my family and the area we live in. I also have our company logo that needs to be displayed on each page. Feel free to include other wine related pictures for background etc.
Please include samples when bidding. Thanks!
