I need a very small android application that does the following...
Summary: wait for a SD card to load, or allow the user to set a standard configuration file or serial number to write to the SD card. The user interface is a SD card icon (with the text please insert a SD card to upload) and two buttons below (SET CONFIG) and (SET SERIAL). A group of check box below the buttons [update time] [load config] [erase SD data]
ON SD CARD LOAD: When a SD card is inserted, all the data on the card is either a) uploaded to a ftp server or if the ftp server cannot be reached b) attached to an email address [A preference file will contain the ftp log in info and the email address].
After the data is read,
- the data on the SD card can be erased if the erase check box is selected
- A configuration file ([login to view URL]) can be copied to the SD card (this file is generated before) if the configuration check box is selected
- A time file ([login to view URL]) can be copied to the SD card ([login to view URL] contains only one string, the current network time and date) if the time check box is selected
A serial file ([login to view URL]) can be copied to the SD card if the user clicks set serial number button. This prompts the user to enter a string for the serial number and that string is written to [login to view URL] and copied to the sd card.
When the config button is pressed, the user can modify the config file. These settings must be graphically depicted to the user. See the config file sample. I believe there is a total of 10 settings mostly numerical.
Here's some help reading and writing SD Cards in android: [login to view URL]
