detail for welding and coating RECTANGULAR barge platform of modest scantling with framing detail WITHOUT PROPULSION. Design will be for inland waterways, not open ocean. A good design will of necessity include exact empty weight and freeboard calculations, guaranteed within one inch. I really need to know the use before I start selecting framing sizes. Drawings that the welder can work from. I will also quote the construction, but I am East Coast. Propulsion is a bad idea. If the barge is to carry heavy payload, modest scantlings are NOT appropriate. Good luck with your project.
