My background: Manager, Designs. Image Processing Expert. I've Implemented almost the same algorithm in "Palm Print Recognition" of 312 subjects in MATLAB and did an application in a C/C++ GUI for a maritime security project. Input a gray scale image, I convert to 1 bit image, identified contours, identified the points between fingers, extracted palm image and applied Phase Component Analysis (PCA) to it and stored the data in database as a text file. When a new image comes, the same operation is done and the matching patron's number is displayed. If you are interested, i can share the MATLAB images with you. Experience with image processing and I speak spanish language so I understand the videos. I however would not use visual basic but c# as is more appropiate for this kind of projects. Still the dll would be able to be used in any .net language such as VB.
