Wanting to discuss the porting of an exiting demo app from MS VB6 to Delphi. The desktop app needs display icons on an image to represent security sensors on a map; the app will read status signals in the form of strings via a serial port, and will change the icon display according to the sensor status. A database will be required to store sensor co-ordinates and sensor details, the existing VB6 demo using an Access database.
I'd like to work with this project. I have an experience over 10 years in Delphi, also I work more than 5 years in industry automation, so I work with very large quantity of sensors, controllers and industries PC
Dear Sir. Our company has alot of experences with Delphi and we do some projects with RS232 (serial port) and LPT communication so we can do this project faster. We can discuss more details your requirements, database, estimation...
Hi! I did similar programs for access control systems and guard's systems. I am ready to do it for you. I can send the additional information by inquiry. Terms and working costs should be specified after the agreement on the detailed specification. Send its to me please.
Best regards,

I do have experienced in Porting applications into different programming languages, thats part of my current job actually. So porting VB6 codes to Delphi won't be a problem. I already created programs that interface to a serial port (ACR120 Contactless Reader) and created it in 3 languages (VB6, Delphi and VC++)
Based from my experiences I think that I'm highly qualified to do this kind of work. Drop me a line so we can discuss it further.
I have help my student successfully building their project using delphi accross serial comm port. There are 2 computers, 1 as server (listening on port), 1 as client showing data, any change in client will change the database on server computer.
the other one i help my student building program like "Norton Commander(File management/transfer beetween computer using serial port)" everychange in computer must change the other side computer (including the icon's change).
if my experience help me so much with your project.
