Hello! First of all, my bid is not accurate, but I don't want to mes with the average presented here, in case you find someone to do it for the offered budget. From my experience very few VB6 projects can be easily upgraded to VB.NET, but most of all need to be written from scratch and is a very consuming process. I would recommend you to use WPF technology with MVVM as much as possible (it's very hard to not write anything in the code behind), but will keep things separated and your interface will be easier to change, if needed. I also recommend C#, because you will find very easy good professionals for your future jobs. You can use standard Microsoft controls and with WPF and I can implement extensions to make them neat. I can also apply a cool futuristic theme, to make your app stand out in the open (looks very good on presentations, setup or website slider etc. So my bid would be $3000 for 3 months, which we can negotiate, based on actual complexity, specifications and demands.
