I need a custom program that is ran on boot. This program should run in the console (no gui) without need for login. The program should allow anyone at the console to perform the following: 1) set IP mode to static or DHCP 1a) if static, allow the user to input ip information (ip, subnet, gateway) 2) set DNS 3) set proxy information 4) ping an ip or domain of the user's choice 5) show VPN status (there will be a VPN installed that constantly tries to connect, please show the status of connected, connecting, etc) 6) ability to log into the system with a username and password Also, it would be nice to put a logo or ascii art (we can provide) picture in the top if at all possible.

Hi! I wrote a small bash script using dialog for display information and to get user text input. for 1-2-3 I'll use a simple networking script. For 4 I'll use a dialog form. For 5, I need to know what vpn you'll use. 6 is a normal login Also, I need to know linux distro on which script will run
