The project consist of two simple parts. One part is that i need program for Raspberry PI that will read 1D barcodes with USB barcode scanner . Other part is that RPI program should compare barcodes from the txt file with barcodes that are in front of scanner. If any of the barcodes in the txt file is the same as the one on the bill , door should be opened. Short version: When the user gets his bill , he can bring this bill to the barcode scanner. If the barcode is the same as in the txt file then GPIO output is set. TXT file. To be able to compare the barcodes on the scanner with the barcodes in the txt file we have to read the TXT file that is stored on the cash register. So, txt file is located on the cash register PC and ist updated each time when a customer buys something. When you have transaction, barcode is written in txt file. Program on PI should read this file over LAN and use it for comparation. Conclusion: The project is nothing else then barcode reader which is capable of comparing barcodes from the existing TXT file, that is avaliable over lan. I have project description in PDF so i can send this as additional info. Project should be done this week, or lately till the middle of next week. Best regards !

I made a home-automation system for myself. This can control the heating-water and air-conditioning and function as a burglar alarm system. You can control remotely, via mobile or web-browser. So I know the Raspbian (Debian Linux), Apache, PHP and Python technologies as well. I can do this project in 6-8 hours. Then I will need remote settings on your side - this takes 2-3 hours.
