Well, being an interior/exterior designer and living in small apartment myself, I have realized how much space people waste on "dead" areas and corners. Nature teach us how to deal with space and how to utilize it properly, while only human can take that rigid straight form of a container and combine it successfuly with nature's prefection of sphere, hexagon or spiral. And this is the fun part: it also needs to look appealing and desirable. One of my first thoughts when I consider someones design is - would I invite my parents for lunch in such space? This question opens eyes for many unforeseen obstacles that got simply lost when myself or the designer designed that space. Your idea sounds good, I would like to give it a go with containers. Maybe we could make Kalkin's ideas obsolete, or just not attractive enough. ;)

he beauty of the building is partially embodied in its relation to the context. It is almost impossible to design anything without knowing its location and requirments.
