I need to prepare a speech for my outgoing Town Council President. This is the information I have; While Mr. Michael B Isaacs held office for the Town of East Greenwich, RI 02818 he accomplished the following; was instrumental in voting on the new Police Station; renovation of Swift Community Senior Center; Fire District's merger into the town ( he feels most important accomplishment). Worked on getting the 52 million dollar bond referendum passed for Cole Middle School; Consolidating town and schools on duplicative services; Working hand in hand with schools- meeting bi-weekly with School Superintendent Dr. Mercurio , school committee Chair Carlyon Mark and the Town Manager to discuss school issues; Works amicably with fellow Councilors and School committee members; Responsibly returns calls to tax payers; Earned respect at the Rhode State House lobbying etc....; Fiscally responsible; Most cote getter for 6 terms, serving as President of the Town Council until term limits applied; Received his undergrad from the University of Rochester and received a BA in History; Graduated from Boston Law School and is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C Bars; Previously chair of RI Public Telecommunications Authority which was the board of Rhode Island PBS channel 36; Was senior executive in diversified media companies; Previously on Board of Directors Jewish Seniors Agency and Jewish Federation; Presently on the Rhode Island and Spine Tumor Foundation Board of Directors.
