It is often stated that during the last decade China has become the key emerging nation in the Asia-Pacific region and the most attractive market and location for European multinationals. From the point of view of one European company wishing to develop an Asian business strategy, analyse why the ASEAN nations may be a preferable location and production centre for that company than China. 6. What are the principle opportunities and challenges that face European companies that wish to develop their business in India? Consider both one company wishing to establish manufacturing plants through foreign direct investment and also one company interested in using India to offshore their business processes.
