The job centres on a single line (straight runs, a handful of elbows and valves) and I want reliable numbers for three parameters: flow rate, pressure drop and velocity from inlet to outlet. You may work in with pipe flow software and based on accepted gas-flow correlations (Darcy-Weisbach, Panhandle, AGA, or similar). The exchanger must achieve three simultaneous goals: higher heat-transfer efficiency, lower pressure drop, and a compact footprint.
