Electrical repair is the repair of any electronic products, such as mobile phones, computers, e-readers, televisions or gaming consoles. Electrical repair shops more commonly offer services for laptops and phones, and can be found on high streets. Services offered and payment vary from store to store, but may be less reputable than taking the product directly to the manufacturer or seller.
Apple, for example, offers a genius bar in each of their stores, where customers may take their devices for troubleshooting and repair. Warranty can be made void if a device is repaired somewhere other than the store, and so the owner of the device may feel obligated to have it fixed at the genius bar rather than at a store nearby for a cheaper price.
