We currently have a custom Embedded Linux OS (Yocto) build running on a Toradex iMX6ULL SOM board. The OS was developed to run "bring up" test routines for GPIO and UART peripheral boards. The device tree supplied with the BSP supports a standard 7" display but now we require a dtb for a different 3.5" 320x240 VGA display. The project scope is to create a modified device tree to include a driver for the 3.5" parallel RGB display so that the display renders properly. We have developed a Qt5 app on a Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS 64 bit host but we are still struggling with the Yocto recipes to transfer the app from the host to the Dragonboard 410c. Our PowerPC based system is YOCTO Project which is built under Ubuntu 14.04 with Tool Chain GCC Version 4.9.2 over the Kernel 4.1. We use Software Development Kit of the NXP SDK Version "QorIQ Linux SDK v2.0". In our system there are 6 Serial 16550 UART ports configurable to RS232/RS422/RS485. The 6 UARTs are controlled via FPGA. The SoC is connected to the FPGA via IFC bus.
