The book is called 'Sorry this checkout is closed', therefore my idea is to have a caricature of a male, mid 40's, rotund in build, partially unshaven, with glasses and thin of hair. A demeanour of someone who is generally unhappy with his lot and looking a bit miserable. He is sat at checkout in standard supermarket polo top but wearing a badge that reads 'Happy to help'.
