We have an Android mobile app called OTTO that is a voice controlled solution for safely performing common tasks while driving like calling and texting.
We originally designed it to be installed on an in-dash system in the car however we have now changed it to be simply a mobile app that can be downloaded to any phone.
We currently have it available for Android only for any version of 4.0 and above. As a result, we would like it to be built on the latest material design guidelines and available to work in all resolutions in both portrait and landscape orientations.
The current version of the app will launch with just 2 functions, calling and texting although the design must easily allow for additional functions to be added later.
Our ideal use of the app is that it should not even need to be looked at, ie it should function completely eyes and hands free. However we recognise that there may be a need for comfort to be able to view a screen occasionally and so it is vital that the screens are intuitive and easy to view.
You may wish to take inspiration from Google Auto design or be completely innovative in your approach, eg Siri doesn't even have an interface, just a microphone.
Our app is pitched at both consumers as well as business users for safety and productivity.

Please ensure your design displays the following functions at a minimum (additional functions also appreciated):
- Default screen
- Calling
- Texting
- Settings

You will need to demonstrate how you will accommodate more than the 2 initial functions without compromising the visual ease of accessing the functions, ie when we add in a dozen functions, does the screen scroll or do the existing icons shrink but stay on a single screen?

You must also display them in landscape and portrait mode and allow for them to dynamically change from one to the other as the phone is fitted into a holder and turned.
