We are an Australian research centre and every year produce a report on the state of Australia's Environment. We are looking for a distinct style to use across our digital and printed media, which includes a web-based data explorer, an annual fact sheet and a live briefing event. At the moment most of our audience arrives via www.ausenv.online or http://wald.anu.edu.au/australias-environment/ where you can find all our current products. We wish to apply a common style across our products that uses at least a common colour palette, typography, and any other visual style elements (e.g. icons as a visual contents guide, a logo or use of photos as vignettes, etc - that's for you to decide). The focus is on a recognisable style rather than a brand.

Submissions:
I would hope to see submissions as some sample fact sheet pages, briefing slides, perhaps even a draft re-imagined landing page, web explorer or loose style elements - whatever you want to use to demonstrate your style ideas. The current material (via links above) should provide plenty of material to work with, but I can field any concrete questions throughout.
I don't expect a full set of (reusable) templates or comprehensive brand book, or use-ready elements - rather examples of some great style ideas that will help us decide to continue to work (via freelance.com) with the chosen designer and implement it across our products.

Tone:
The reports aim to provide factual information about Australia's degrading environment on an annual basis, so it needs to have a serious and informative tone. The style should be relevant to the Australian environment (but no overused Australian icons such as flags, kangeroos etc). Probably earthy colors typical of Australia's environment (red-brown, olive green etc) but happy to be surprised. Some style nods to the university (https://science.anu.edu.au/) that our centre is part of would be nice but not imperative.

  It's ok, it's my fault that I not put enough effort to create better design :) And another my mistake is that I worked on a live-preview of website, based on your wordpress theme(I thought you no need fully redesign and change layout/theme/website engine etc) because it's takes longer then just a layout design. The future of our planet is so volatile, I would love to help you out with this project! I'll be taking my time to research your needs and Australian environmentalism today.   Hi Sid, we've been printing the 4 pages booklet style on A3 so that we could fold it to A4. That's worked well for us. Going to more than 4 pages is not out of the question but would need a good reason.

Your Explanations are a bit vague. Why don't you start with something simple like a Logo or Letter headed paper?

  I am not after a logo or letter headed paper. I am after a few worked examples of parts of our outputs from last year. For example, a page of the report, a title slide and 1 or 2 sample slides of the powerpoint, etc. I want to be able to see how the style elements would work together. I don't want to be too prescriptive about the exact outputs as I am looking for an approach that suits out goals and an ongoing relationship.
