Resumen del concurso

For a while now I have been working on an electronic music act, called Derek Hake. However, I never had a proper logo, whereas I need something recognizable and unique to put on cover arts and posters of gigs.

The logo should contain my alias (Derek Hake), but other than that I would say, get creative. If you are familiar with logos of well-known DJ's/producers you know almost everything is possible, and most of them are pretty simplistic. It would be nice if something is happening between the letters, like a connection, or letters intertwining, put in reverse, some in italics, whatever. Give it a touch so it is not just a generic font.

Besides the name in the logo, I want to have some kind of derivative symbol/icon, like Avicii's triangles or Martin Garrix' +x. This is very important to me! The symbol and the logo need to be in the same style.

A Photoshop or Illustrator file is preferred, as well as an export (png) of the logo.

Fun fact: Hake is a deviation of my real lastname, which again in Dutch means Hook. Hake in English is a fish. Also I am from a small fishertown. Good for inspiration?

At some point I will have to get a tattoo of the icon, so it better be good!

About me:
I am a 22 year old producer based in Amsterdam. About 2-3 years ago I had some releases on a renowned record label. Right now I have been further developing my sound. I mainly create melodic music. I would describe myself as a pretty happy person, who gets along with everyone and is passionate in everything he does.
