Food waste app
I am looking to develop an application that allows the users to input the food they are going to eat over the next few days, to guide them to buy less food and waste less this app will be directed to the ready meal market (uk, english)

Key features
meal planer,
The user will scan the barcode product with the devices camera, this will down load the information about the product to the device, including portions per pack, and expected shelf life. The information is adjusted by the user (actual use by day, % or fraction used per meal, ), and the food is place into the meal planner (as a meal on a day ) or the food is left pending, at a time before the food goes out of date the application alert the user that the meal is about to expire. The is repeated until the food is place in the meal planer or used. If the food runs out of day the product is classed as wasted and logged
The meal planner looks like a standard diary with day ,week month view. The meals and snacks are place in the meal planner

Simple interactive game
In the style of a tamagotchi, where the app users behaviour effects the health and life of the games character. Need to develop game play and details more, but sensible diet (calorie , salt, sugar content from scanned food data is used) notorious diet where a mix of fruit veg and general mix is information is used. Using the app will have direct effect on the game, reduction/ elimination of food waste will also have a large effect on the game
Learning zone with information on diet, food storage, and potion sizes. Text, video and interactive
Cash saver the app works out on either the user’s details or standard figures of the cost per week of the food wasted, and keeps a running total along with a weekly total of savings or loses.
Information collection
All inputs to the app should be logged, to be uploaded to remote storage
