Resumen del concurso

When using Freelancer, there is no better place to get updates on your work, find new ways to make money or increase your skills than from the Newsfeed. The first thing most users see when logging in, the Newsfeed helps to guide users and direct them to the most important things on the site. We love the functionality of this page, but we want to get some new ideas on how to make it look better visually and also function better.

Newsfeed URL: http://www.freelancer.com/dashboard/

Goal of this contest:

- Provide a new visual style and UI for the entire Newsfeed (updates area and right hand side widgets)
- Keep in mind best practices for User Experience (make things easy to get to and use)
- Keep in mind the different styles of newsfeed items and incorporate those into your designs
- Please see attachment for example of what it currently looks like or simply log-in and go to http://www.freelancer.com/dashboard/
- Designs should not include new UI/UX for the header or footer of the page

Rewards:
- We will award (1) winner the contest prize, but may purchase other designs we like
- Design elements from the winner and any bought designs may be used to create a new Freelancer newsfeed

Let's help create a more useful and beautiful Newsfeed!

Please join us in congratulating mirzaramadhany on their winning entry! We loved the soft and elegant design of their entry and were impressed with the level of detail and clean UI that seemed to capture all of the important information needed for our users. We would also like to thank all the designers who participated in this contest. We were surprised at the level of knowledge of the dashboard and its various elements. Firstly congratulation to the winner.

    I need to say some things;

    About UX
    -----------------

I thought you would consider UX more than UI.

    1. Recommended projects/contest at the same column with updates? Do you think this is good way? When you think of those who are really active in Freelancer.com, they should still scroll down much, sorry.

    2. Do you really think "filter" is that important? or let me ask this question in another way; which one is more important "filters" or "current projects/contests". I have scrolled down and clicked this contests link to see what is going on for maybe 500 times so far but I needed to scroll all the time. Now you see "To do List" and "Your Projects" in a same tab category system. Seems to do list is more important.

    3. Categorical layout is important in these kind of pages which should be informative but we will see again a 2 columns layout and the change is on mostly user interface.

      2. I think both are important, but more dominant 'current project'. For my filter provides several options and can be added to the search text you can see on the update my entry at #535 . For the tab 'to-do list' in position in front because it is very interesting (so the user stays at page newsfeed to organize to-do lists them) but to the tab 'guide project' can also be located at the front and set the cookies of each user more dominant using tabs Which one. And I tried to steer to two elements of 'funds' and tab 'to-do list and your project' can be placed as sticky / fixed on the screen if the widget to the right was empty at the time scroll down

      3. Sorry, two columns have been better to allow users to focus and not get very much information and is not important because the features of freelancer.com itself is already very much on the side of the top menu (if we are aware of all on the top menu already have a shortcut as needed user)

      About UI
      ---------------
      1. I use striking colors to 'Recommended projects/contest' that the user know about it :). Colors that I use for this design is gray, white, blue, red, green, blue and yellow but more predominantly black, gray, white and blue to other colors just the emphasis on certain parts

      3. Sorry I tried not much play in the font-family because my analysis if freelancer.com use other fonts on page newsfeed that is different from the current font will be too difficult to bring the taste of each page design has been owned freelancer.com

Sorry for my english, but that's what I think. I will try to make gif / video for his ux may freelancer.com accept

Please pray the best for me and us
Thank you for this important advice, you really helped me to learn
      Thank you very much Sir

    Congrats to winner!
And thanks @mushakirin and @MamboKingZ for praise my work.

When I have started this contest I was thinking for an any creative idea out from all scheme design that we know. In the same time I was worried about the UX for don't complicate the newsfeed how is now (like just said from @erkanmetu).

I hoped that this contest could mark the turning point for a new newsfeed, more immediate and more simple, beautiful but not too complicated or useless, just like I imagined ...

Anyway I'm sorry for all those lost for weeks to work on this project like me :(, but this is a competition!

Freelancer I really hope that you don't stop and taking only the best idea for our new newsfeed...

Everyone is running here for the big money, no one thinking the fame he/she will get if their design selected. Whole world will see your design, your work, everyone will remember your name. You will be famous on freelancer platform. If freelancer's get my design and pay nothing for my work, I will be honored, feel proud that everyone will use my designed layout.. For this contest money dose not matter.
